WHAT IS IT

Onestraightcut.

Shearing forces a hardened upper blade through sheet or plate against a fixed lower blade: a clean, full-length cut in a single hydraulic stroke.

There is no kerf, no laser gas, and no heat-affected zone. For rectangles, strips, and blanks, it is the fastest and most economical straight-cut process on the floor.

When to shear

Reach for shearing when the part is a rectangle, a strip, or a blank that will be formed or welded next. A simple cut list is enough to quote.

If you need holes, notches, or an irregular profile, we route that work to laser or punch, often on the same job.

Position against the back gauge

Sheet or plate is squared to the back gauge. The gauge sets the cut dimension automatically so every blank in the run lands on the same length.
